Lately I've been talking to some of my old band members about getting together and jamming. Now, I'm not talking old, old so don't expect the Lil' Bastards to be getting back together any time soon (since 2 members have died and one is in police custody facing some serious jail time.) But I've been in contact with Greg and Mike (update 2/19/14- Fuck Mike!) from last summer's lineup of Southern Bruatlity. We always had fun playing together and although we're all doing other things, there is some talk about us getting together and having some fun.
Now being the goal oriented kind of person I am, I came up with an idea. I want to stage a reunion concert, but I can't really call it a reunion concert because we never played a show together. But I figured we could practice for a few weeks and then book a show and record it for a live cd. And that's it. No further plans and we all go back to what we were doing. We just have so much fun together and it's a shame we never got to fully document that in a recording. We may also videotape the show.
I'm going to talk to some local people about helping me out with this project and hopefully we can get this done.
